  1. World Radiography Day is observed each year on 8 November to commemorate the groundbreaking discovery of X-radiation by German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in 1895 and to encourage education and training for future radiologic technologists as in the modern healthcare landscape. The theme for World Radiography Day 2023 is “Celebrating Patient Safety.”  
  2. The first rail link between India and Bhutan will start between Assam’s Kokrajhar and Bhutan’s Gelephu.
  3. The Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission wins the Global Responsible Tourism Award 2023 for promoting sustainable and women-inclusive initiatives.
  4. Punjab won the T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 for the first time by defeating Baroda in the final by 20 runs at the IS Bindra Stadium.
  5. The first ever tribal art exhibition, named the ‘Silent Conversation: From Margins to the Centre’  was organized in New Delhi from 3 – 5 November, 2023 by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and Sankala Foundation.
  6. Konkani singer, lyricist, and composer Apolinaris D’Souza received Karnataka’s 19th ‘Kalakar Puraskar’.
  7. Two prestigious Indian institutions, IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi have been ranked among the top 50 in QS Asia University Ranking 2024.
  8. Uttar Pradesh will come up with its first agroforestry policy which will promote plantation of trees on the agricultural land along with the crops.
  9. Among the major cities in the country, Bengaluru tops in the largest stock of green-certified buildings. Delhi NCR occupies the second position, followed by Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, and Pune.
  10. The year 2023 is predicted to be the hottest year in the last 1,25,000 years, as stated by European Union scientists.
  11. The National Medical Commission (NMC) is undertaking efforts to refine the medical counselling process. Their aim is to create a more user-friendly system and ensure full occupancy of medical seats.
  12. 14th International Conference of National Human Rights Institutions was held in Copenhagen, Denmark.
